Excellent opportunity for an experienced Forklift Engineer to join a well-established company based in Eccleston, Chorley
Based near Chorley, we offer a complete solution for hire, lease, service, sales and transport of fork lift trucks and material handling equipment throughout Lancashire and the North West.
You will join a valued service team who provide mechanical, technical and diagnostic support for a wide range of customers. Covering complex repairs to routine planned maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
This role requires you to have a sound understanding of hydraulics and engines. Basic understanding of 12v – 48v electric systems would be advantageous however all candidates will be considered as training can be provided.
As the main dealer for both Bobcat Material Handling and Terberg Truck Mounted Forklifts. The company provides their engineers with ongoing manufacturing training and support whilst offering the variety to work on mixed fleets, within the North West.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Based Service Technician to join KS Lift Trucks Ltd based in Eccleston, Chorley
The Role:
- Experienced service technician working at customer sites within an easy commutable distance of Chorley, Preston, Wigan, Ormskirk, Blackburn etc.
- Fitting of parts and components.
- Fault diagnosis
- Warranty work
- Safety and Accessories Fitment
- Servicing, pre-planned repair work, emergency vor,
- Full time, permanent role. Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (42.5hr/week) Overtime at 1.5 available and optional.
Work will be carried out at customer sites across the North West. You will be part of our service team and this role would suit someone who has previous experience as a service technician, vehicle technician or mechanical engineering. You will be working on a wide range of material handling equipment with lots of opportunity to develop your existing skills.
Depending on your experience their will be the opportunity to carry out engine rebuilds, steer axle rebuilds, mast overhauls etc. We are happy to train the right candidate if this is not something you have done before. You will also have the opportunity to attend manufacturer training courses to learn and strengthen your knowledge.
The Person
- Qualification or time served experience preferred with a solid vehicle technician / plant engineering background.
- Passionate about their trade and finish their work to a high standard.
- Polite & well presented.
- A good selection of own tools.
- UK Driving License.
This role would suit someone who resides within an easy commutable distance to our yard near Eccleston, Chorley. We are happy to train the right person who has a desire to learn quickly or enhance the skills you currently have.
